Long-term Dividend Stock Picks
The Quant Growth and Income is a rules-based model portfolio built for investors who want long-term capital growth and consistent dividend income from a single strategy.
Launched on 3 June 2026 and run by the Seeking Alpha Quant team, the portfolio uses proprietary quant data and Dividend Safety Grades to select dividend-paying stocks with strong growth potential while aiming to reduce exposure to dividend cuts. It holds up to 30 positions and rebalances every two weeks.

Since the portfolio launched on 3 June 2026, Quant Growth and Income has returned 12.05%, compared with 3.23% for Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF over the same period. These figures are as of 25 August 2026.
The strategy is designed to capture upside during growth-led markets, while its income holdings provide a cushion when sentiment turns defensive.
Dual Growth and Income Objective
The portfolio pursues capital appreciation and dependable dividend income together, rather than treating them as separate goals.
Focus on Dividend Safety
Stock selection relies on Seeking Alpha's Dividend Safety Grades, which are designed to reduce exposure to companies at risk of cutting or suspending their dividend.
Benchmark Awareness
The strategy aims to outperform the Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF (VYM) in total return while keeping the portfolio yield within a close range of VYM's yield.
Diversified Holdings
The portfolio holds up to 30 stocks, including US companies, ADRs, REITs, and small-caps, drawn from liquid companies with sufficient market capitalisation.
Systematic Rebalancing
Positions are reviewed every two weeks on Wednesdays, with turnover averaging around two stocks per rebalance.
Rules-Based Selection
Quant Growth and Income is fully systematic. Stocks are chosen using Quant Ratings and Dividend Grades, not manual forecasts or opinion.
Buy Criteria
A candidate must pay an active dividend, hold a Buy or Strong Buy Quant Rating, and meet set thresholds for Dividend Safety, Dividend Growth, and Dividend Yield, alongside an average market capitalisation above $400 million over the prior month.
Sell Discipline
A position is removed when its Quant Rating falls to Sell or Strong Sell, when a dividend is cut or suspended, when a dividend grade deteriorates (for example, Dividend Safety falling to D+ or lower), or in the event of significant M&A activity or a delayed filing.
Trade Alerts
Members receive clear alerts every two weeks confirming any additions or removals, keeping the model portfolio transparent and simple to follow.
Portfolio Holdings: Full visibility of up to 30 dividend-paying stocks, including current weightings.
Trade Alerts: Notifications every two weeks when positions are added or removed.
Ongoing Analysis: Regular commentary and updates from the Quant team.
Dividend Grades Access: The Dividend Safety, Growth, Yield, and Consistency grades used to build the portfolio.
Data-Driven Methodology: A transparent process that combines quant signals with dividend metrics.
Strong Buy ratings are produced through computer processing and Seeking Alpha's quantamental analysis.
The algorithm ranks stocks on collective value, growth, profitability, EPS revisions, and price momentum against their sector peers.
Each attribute is graded and weighted to maximise predictive value, with the best stocks awarded a Strong Buy rating.
The backtested strategy has beaten the S&P 500 in 12 of the past 13 years.
Dividend Growth Grades work on the same principle, selecting stocks with the strongest dividend growth metrics against their sector. Over the past 12 years, the backtested strategy has beaten the Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (VIG), with the strongest names awarded an A+ grade.
Income-Focused Investors
It suits investors who want dependable dividend income without giving up long-term capital growth.
Buy-and-Hold Subscribers
The systematic, twice-monthly process fits those who prefer a disciplined, data-driven routine over active stock picking.
